We want to create the opportunity for single Christians in Shrewsbury and surrounding areas to meet other Christians and their friends socially as well as spiritually, regardless of whether they are single, widowed, separated or divorced. The group caters for those in their thirties to sixties who wish to increase their circle of friends. We want to welcome evangelical thinking folk of all Church denominations.
A varied programme of events will be organised by members. Although our activities will be designed primarily to meet the social needs of single Christians we also propose to have monthly or bi-monthly fellowship meetings featuring a variety of speakers and subjects. Suggestions or comments members may wish to make to enhance our events will always be appreciated.
The original Discovery group started in Northern Ireland some time ago and has approximately 200 members. We think it would be good for members to be able to have the option to communicate by email with each other and learn more about their respective towns and churches etc. See 'Links' Page to find out more about them.
Membership of DiscoveryBCC is free. As a member you will receive a monthly programme and you will be able to bring guests to the events who we hope will be encouraged to become members. We are primarily a social group for Christians and NOT a dating agency.
